 C.A.T.S. provides priority mental health services for:

  • Individuals with HIV/AIDS
  • Individuals at risk for HIV/AIDS
  • Individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS

and/ or

  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning individuals, couples and their families

Grief, Loss and Depression

Anxiety

Coming Out

Dating and Relationships

Gender Identity

Intersexuality

 


   

Living with HIV/AIDS

Raising Children in LGBTQ Families

Adjusting to a Loved One's LQBTQ Identity

Adjusting to a Loved One's HIV/AIDS Status

Living in a Homophobic Culture

Violence
 
     


Confidential counseling is available to improve clients' mental or emotional health through an LQBTQ-affirmative staff, including an LGBTQ-identified therapist.

C.A.T.S. aims to provide a supportive space in which LQBTQ and/or HIV+ individuals and their families can receive counseling.

Services are provided for a small fee thanks to funding from Medical and the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). Outreach for C.A.T.S. is provided by Monterey County AIDS project and John XXIII AIDS Ministry.
