Family Service Centers

The Family Service Centers, with two locations in Salinas and one in Seaside, offer a broad array of mental health programs for adults, children and families, including:

  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Couples counseling
  • Walk-in and crisis appointments
  • School-based counseling programs (SuperKids & SuperTeens)
  • Parent education classes
  • Domestic violence and anger management programs (Salinas)
  • Supervised visitation and exchange program (Seaside & Salinas)
  • Family to Family program (Seaside & Salinas)
  • Child abuse intervention
  • Information and referrals

Services are provided in English and Spanish by licensed therapists, supervised interns and qualified counselors.

Fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on the program and the client's ability to pay. Medi-Cal is accepted.

The Family Service Centers participate in the Community Action Partnership.

Gary Davidson, MFT

Gary Davidson has been Clinical Program Director of the Family Service Centers in Salinas and Seaside since 2005.  Hi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a BA in Psychology from Fresno State University and a MA in Counseling from  the University of San Francisco.  Gary has worked in the Mental Health Field for thirty-five years and has a wide range of experience in Mental Health treatment intervention and programming in both public and private mental health systems.  He maintained a private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy for fifteen years focusing on relationships, personality disorders and serious mental illness.  Current outside interests include grand. motorcycling and pizza tasting.
