Community Human Services accepts donations on behalf of Safe Place.

   

WELCOME TO SAFE PLACE


Safe place is a comprehensive program for runaway and homeless youth that provides everything from street outreach and clothing to temporary placements and a ride home. Other services include:

  • Individual, group and family counseling
  • Education and intervention for STI's, HIV/AIDS, sexual abuse and molestation
  • Drop-in center that provides hot meals, recreation, counseling, health education, youth development and peer counselor training
  • Drug and alcohol counseling
  • Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
  • Family reunification
  • Crisis resolution home placement
  • Alternate placement (extended family, family friends, Job Corps, California Conservation Corps, etc.)
  • Food vouchers and brown bag meals
  • Hygiene kits
  • Aftercare

Most counseling services are provided free of charge, depending on the client's ability to pay. Walk-in and crisis appointments are available.
