Safe place is a comprehensive program for runaway and homeless youth that provides everything from street outreach and clothing to temporary placements and a ride home. Other services include:
- Individual, group and family counseling
- Education and intervention for STI's, HIV/AIDS, sexual abuse and molestation
- Drop-in center that provides hot meals, recreation, counseling, health education, youth development and peer counselor training
- Drug and alcohol counseling
- Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
- Family reunification
- Crisis resolution home placement
- Alternate placement (extended family, family friends, Job Corps, California Conservation Corps, etc.)
- Food vouchers and brown bag meals
- Hygiene kits
- Aftercare
Most counseling services are provided free of charge, depending on the client's ability to pay. Walk-in and crisis appointments are available.
