Off Main Clinic provides methadone maintenance and detoxification to adults suffering from addiction to heroin and other opiates. The clinic is state-licensed and accredited by CARF International.
methadone
Methadone is a synthetic drug that is legal, inexpensive, does not damage body organs or tissues and, when prescribed and taken appropriately, does not create a euphoric high. Its rehabilitating effects include:
- Relief from sickness resulting from withdrawal
- Reduction of craving for opiates
- Allows the time needed for other treatment methods to become effective
- Eliminates the physical reasons for continued use of illegal drugs
services
Off Main Clinic provides a physical examination to determine eligibility for services, after which a dose of methadone is determined, prescribed, and administered daily by a trained nursing professional. Counselors provide treatment planning and counseling.
The clinic also provides HIV/Hepatitis C risk assessments, confidential HIV testing and disclosure sessions, harm and risk reduction, and education and referral services.
Off Main Clinic is a medical treatment program and has no formal affiliation with criminal justice agencies of any kind. Patient information is strictly confidential. Participation in the program is voluntary, and clients may end their participation at any time without penalty.
cost
Medi-Cal is accepted for the maintenance program. Private pay fees for maintenance are $350 per month, and $300 per month for 21-day detoxification. Extended detoxification services are $350 per month for six months.
